Jacqueline Ernst

Jacqueline’s love for dance started at the age of 5 with her first pair of ballet shoes and continues still. Jacqueline was fortunate enough to be able to study under some of Canada’s greatest dancers and instructors at a school accredited and associated with the National Ballet of Canada, before starting her professional  ballet career. After retiring from performing onstage, alongside her best friend, Jacqueline opened a small ballet school serving her local community in rural Ontario, Canada. She loved taking her ballet knowledge and watching others fall in love with it as much as she has.

In 2016 Jacqueline’s husband had the opportunity to move his career to Walmart, and move their family to NWA. They took the big leap on Leap Day, and moved from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, hometown of RIM and the Blackberry phone, to Rogers to start their new southern life. Jacqueline’s son was 5, and daughter had just turned 3 at the time of their move.

Jacqueline was introduced to Pilates as the strength and conditioning program her ballet school used. During her final years in high school, Jacqueline was able to finish her Comprehensive Pilates Instructor training through the Stott Pilates group in Toronto, and started to work with students and clients soon after. Pilates has been a part of Jacqueline’s life for the last 30 years. It has helped her as a dancer, a university student, a financial professional, an expectant and new mum, and recovering from a number of surgeries that she’s had since then.

Outside the studio, Jacqueline fills her days finding balance between raising two amazing kids and managing the crazy that is their schedules, as well as teaching Pilates at her own private studio in her home, and through Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness Center. She’s almost always planning the next family trip back to Canada to see family.

Jacqueline is excited to bring her Pilates expertise as well as experience with balance, turns, jumps and leaps to TPDC Company and Recreational dancers in Season 5, including Adult Pilates classes.
